Hiddenite Community Helpers was established in October 2010 to help make Christmas brighter for children in the Hiddenite area. We supplied the children with clothing and one toy along with food for their families. After much thought, we considered a food pantry in Hiddenite to help meet the needs of families in our community. Through the help of many churches, businesses, individuals, and Second Harvest Food Bank, the HCH Emergency Food Pantry was opened in April 2012. Our goal is to feed the hungry and provide resources to help them get back on their feet, along with showing them the love, not only at Christmas time, but throughout the year. We are an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit organization as listed with the NC Secretary of State and have a board consisting of 8 persons. We know the need is great and we are excited about serving our community in this manor.
